We're here to make a difference!! 

Our purpose is to bring widespread awareness to the divergence of quality healthcare amongst minorities.  We will identify and document inequality in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients and offer solutions that will better our healthcare system for everyone.

Why We Exist For You

Trust is very important when dealing with healthcare professionals.  If you feel slightly uncomfortable with your caregiver,  you should try and communicate and address the issue right away.  Remember you are the patient and have the right to fair treatment  regardless of your color, creed or nationality.  You have the right not to be inundated with anything  that doesn't contribute to the quality of your health. Many of our staff members understand this, because we and/or  our loved ones have shared similar experiences dealing with healthcare issues.

We are comprised of professionals that are highly educated.  Many of our staff currently work in the medical field and volunteer  to help others and their families get through what can be a difficult period.  This experience can even be more challenging if you are a working professional.

Who We Are

Rushing for Life realizes how time is of the essence in those critical moments when life is just tough to deal with........ The founder Ms. Tracy Hardy- Mosbey has faced the glum side of life dealing with cancer as a working professional and not knowing where to turn to dealing with the sudden impact of dealing a life threatening disease such as cancer. 

One day recently her father whom she was very close to became ill with cancer and consequently passed.   Her mother was also dealing with cancer prior to her father and a year later she also passed.  During this same period of time while caring for her parents with cancer ( Mr. & Mrs. Rushing are the catalyst for Rushing for Life), she also was diagnosed with cancer.  Terrified of  facing a crisis both medically and financially (and not quite 40 years of age at the time), she too was thrust into a medical  & financial whirlwind which kept  spiraling downward.  Now she was fighting for her own life and  trying to navigate through this maze called our healthcare system and trying to balance the rest of her life.  During this time, she became informed that people of color were dying  from diseases such as cancer and other diseases at an alarming rate, that  could possibly be prevented if there was more outreach.  It was also evident to her that our system could  obviously stand for improvements and  found it her duty to help improve the medical environment and try to save lives so no one would go through the same struggles.  It is also up to us as citizens to press upon our leaders for change in in our healthcare system now.
